Preserving Bible Times Ministry (“PBT”) will be holding their “Bible Alive” Seminar at Westbrooke Church on Friday evening, January 11th and Saturday morning, January 12th, 2013. This life-changing weekend will help you to see the Bible in its original context so you can understand it as a 1st-century Middle Eastern villager would have understood it! We are excited to have PBT coming to Overland Park to share these resources and teaching.

Here’s a little info about Preserving Bible Times, Inc.: (See their website at preservingbibletimes.org)
Preserving Bible Times, Inc. is a faith-based educational organization with a vision for preserving and presenting Biblical Truth and meaning through integrating the Biblical text with its visual, geographical, literary, historical and cultural context. PBT’s approach is to creatively assemble a “tool box” of bible times related images, resources and contextual elements that will allow the Scriptures to increasingly come alive for 21st Century readers as they did for 1st Century hearers. This integrated contextual approach to engaging the Scriptures is shared in PBT’s “Bible Alive” teaching weekends hosted by churches as well as a growing portfolio of Bible-in-context resources, e.g. DVDs, CDs, publications.
PBT’s vision is the preservation and teaching of Biblical Truth. Our strategy is to focus on the integrated contextual restoration (literary, historical, cultural and geographical contexts) of the Biblical record. Our purpose is to reconstruct the intended meanings of the words, places, names, people, etc., in the Biblical record to allow for a (re)discovery of the Biblical writer’s intended purpose and meaning. Our desire is that the words of the Biblical record would increasingly come alive for 21st century minds and hearts.
