My name is Ricky Sands and I am so excited God brought my family to Westbrooke! If you see me around, you can almost guarantee that close by my side is my wife Autumn and our two boys, Charlie and Finnegan. I am always intrigued by the accounts recorded in Acts of God bringing entire families to faith in Christ and the growth that comes from that. I’m passionate about family ministry and very excited to partner with those God has placed at Westbrooke! When I’m not at the office you can usually find me at a local coffee shop (often times hanging with students), hanging with my wife, wrestling with my boys, picking away on a guitar or thumbing through a theology book (usually written by some guy who’s been dead a long while). While there are many verses to live by, I love Philippians 1:6, “And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” If you’re visiting Westbrooke, I’d love to meet you and then bug you to join my family for dinner until you accept!

I have been leading worship and serving in a variety of ministry settings since I graduated from Trinity International University with a degree in music education. I love all kinds of music and experiencing the great privilege that is personal and corporate worship. I enjoy bringing people together, for a single purpose of praising our great God. I have been married to Renae since 2007 and we have three wonderful children! Music and ministry is my passion, but I also love to read, play all sports, travel and spend time in Colorado with my family. My favorite bible verse is Isaiah 26:3-4 “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Trust in the LORD forever for the LORD GOD is an everlasting rock.” (ESV)
